Practice rides for qualified students are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am. The cost is $40.00 per hour. Please check with your instructor to see if you are qualified before signing up.

TIPS TO SCHEDULING TRAIL RIDES If you have 1 or 2 people:
The earliest you can call is 9:30 the SUNDAY BEFORE YOU WANT TO RIDE. This is the earliest time you may call. For example, if you want to ride NEXT Sunday, you must call THIS Sunday at 9:30. If you have 3-6 people:
When you have this many people you are considered a group. I recommend scheduling at least 4 weeks in advance. To book this many people you must call in and reserve and then either send in a check or come by with a cash or check to make a deposit of half the amount. This is to reserve your spot. If it rains you will be given the option to ride in our indoor arena or reschedule.

We book up extremely fast, especially in the fall. Please be patient, if we could accommodate 100 people a weekend we would! We only send out small groups of people because we only send horses out on the trail that we feel are 100% safe with beginner riders.
One of the few stables in the Washington D.C. area that offer escorted trail rides for adults and children. Escorted trail rides are available Sunday afternoons and last one hour. The cost for the trail ride is $40.00 per person .
*Reservations are required, and may be made no earlier than the previous Sunday for 1 or 2 people. The earliest time to call is 9:30, the Sunday before you would like to ride.
*Groups of 3 or more may reserve earlier with a deposit of ½ the total amount. This is required when making a group reservation. Often it is better to reserve at least a month ahead of time, especially when the weather is nice.
*Children must be at least 8 years of age. For your safety and the well being of our horses, the weight limit is 180 pounds.
What to wear for your trail ride:
You must wear long pants - no shorts. Boots or closed shoes with a small heel are preferred. Sandals, clogs or open shoes are not allowed. An ASTM certified riding helmet will be provided.
